Gold's Journey from Exploration to Mining

The gold mineralizations on the Gold Line were formed during an active volcanic period, about 2 billion years ago. The gold-carrying rock has since been subjected to heat and pressure and has been metamorphosed, folded and sheared. During later time periods the inland glacier has eroded off the upper parts of the bedrock, so that boulder trails have been formed from the mineralized bedrock with gold carrying boulders in the moraine. Finally the company's prospectors have followed these trails back to the source, the mother lode, where further exploration in the best-case scenario may lead to the identification of a mineable deposit.
